Loved the storyline and the characters. The abuse parts had some good learnings in them. The rest was funny, sexy, and romantic! My G Man checks all the boxes.

I was surprised by this book. It was a good story that didn’t have the couple immediately falling over each other. There was some substance with a build up. Highly recommend.

Jeannie Moon knows how to write heartwarming romances and I love everything she writes. This is second chance at love story with a hot alpha FBI agent and a strong independent woman. Compass Cove is a small town where Lily and Jack both spent their childhoods. Growing up, Lily had a crush on Jack but he never seemed to notice her. Years later, Lily decides to return to Compass Cove to get away from an abusive ex. Lily is happy with her new life in Compass Cove and she now owns a successful hair salon. Unfortunately, her world is shaken when she learns her ex will be coming to town to film his latest movie. Lily worries about running into him because she doesn’t trust him and no one believed her accusations against him. Jack and Lily are thrown together again when Jack, a former military man and now an FBI agent, is assigned to Lily’s case. Jack has always secretly had a crush on Lily. Years ago, she was too young and she was also his best friends little sister, so he had to keep away from her. Now, there is nothing to keep them apart. I enjoyed all the characters living in Compass Cove, especially Jack and Lily. Jack and Lily have a wonderful group of friends and after living away from Compass Cove, they realize how much they missed the people and the town. I enjoyed this sweet small town romance.
