  • Dante and Sadie - assumptions abound

4.35 stars This is one author that knows how to get a laugh. Sadie is a woman who has a heart of gold and makes herself available to her friends when needed. When her grandmother sets her up with the grandson of her best friend, who is Sadie to say no. Dante is the grandson who is roped into a blind date with Sadie. However, unlike Sadie, he is not looking for a relationship. When they actually meet for their first date, Dante makes some assumptions that have Sadie giving him a piece of her mind. Can these two come together after everything or will neither one set the record straight? This is one amusing storyline that does end in a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to see what befalls Dante next. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
  • Fun, Steamy Read

Who knew meddling grandmas would pave the road to love? Dante and Satie’s story does not take off right away, seeing as they get off on the wrong foot and Dante is a jerk to Sadie. Sadie is a lovable character who’s looking for a sexually adventurous relationship but is seen/known to be a good girl. Dante is not looking for relationships or marriage and he lets Sadie know within five minutes of knowing her, but knows he wants to explore their sexual chemistry. They have an undeniable attraction to each other and I loved their interactions and banter. This story does end in a cliffhanger that will leave you with questioning what path Dante and Sadies story will take. • Blind Date Disaster

I give this a 3.5 rating. Sadie lives with Cara, her best friend, and Cara's three boys. Sadie rents the upstairs from single mom Cara and helps her a lot with the boys. Dante is a wealthy playboy. Both of them have nosey grandmothers who are friends and want their grandkids to settle down. Sadie and Dante resist their grandmother's meddling for so long eventually agreeing to a blind date with each other. Having gotten called into work and not able to find a sitter, Cara asks Sadie to watch her kids the night of her blind date with Dante. Rather than cancel the date and face her grandmothers harassing, Sadie takes the boys to ice cream shop next to the coffee shop she is meeting Dante so she can keep an eye on them. The date ends badly with Dante assuming the kids are Sadie's and that she is a bad mother. However, neither Sadie nor Dante can get the other out of their minds. Can these two find some middle ground. The book started out a bit slow but maybe that is the author's intent to build up to the encounters with Sadie and Dante. The story gets very interesting. The characters are real and believable and there are unexpected twists. I enjoyed the book. However, it is a cliffhanger so if you are not a fan a cliffhangers I would wait until the second book comes out in August. • Set up by the 2 grandmas

Sadie lives in a house upstairs from her friend and 3 kids and often babysits for them. She hasn’t been dating much and joined a sexy online dating site and had several conversations with 1 guy that had her questioning what she wanted in sex and a relationship. Her grandmother set her up with a friend’s grandson, Dante. Due to a last minute emergency she has to take the 3 boys with her when she meets her blind date but has them wait at a nearby shop so she can keep a eye on them when she meets her blind date. The meeting is hilarious with Sadie caustic and defensive and Dante hints the kids are her’s. He is gorgeous but arrogant and cocky and let’s her know he doesn’t do relationships and he calls her irresponsible and she leaves. She runs into Dante again when she is out with her friend and she is confused about what she wants from him. Will Piper and Dante become involved? Does Dante truly know Sadie’s secret? I enjoyed the story until the end where you are left not knowing exactly what is happening. I loved the conversations between the two and the story development but I didn’t see the cliffhanger coming and I hate not having an end to the story and having to wait for the next book. Sadie gets set up on a blind date by her grandmother. But thanks to her best friend and her kids the date where she meets Dante (who is also on this date because of his grandmother) is a complete disaster. Dante and Sadie bump into each other a lot. Sadie left things a mess so Dante is a judgy jerk and for whatever reason she’s offended. The book ends with a cliffhanger so I don’t know if it’s an HEA by the end of their story. Sadie is annoying and I don’t really like her all that much. She’s a mess and the way her mind works she got the stink eye from me a lot. Dante I do like. He seems like a you see what you get kinda guy but he’s evolving. There is some steamy in it but not more than like one scene. This is not in my favorite list from this author. I really loved the other books so this one was a bit of a let down. But it’s just one book and so far everything else I read was great. • Engaging and Enjoyable

Dante reads like a novella that ends in a cliffhanger. The follow up is titled, Dante’s Undoing. We first meet Dante Vanderbilt in Along Came Baby. He has no interest in a relationship or getting married. Sadie’s still trying to find herself and add more excitement to her life while helping out her best friend. Their two meddling grandmothers set them up on a blind date and it doesn’t go so well. When Sadie shows up to their first date with 3 kids in tow, Dante makes assumptions about her right off the bat and instead of correcting him, she walks away. Their grandmothers keep throwing them together until they finally take the time to get to know one another. Did I enjoy this book? Yes, it was an engaging and enjoyable summer read. I received a free copy of this book in return for a honest review. I actually have it 3.5 Stars....

Sadie and Dante meet when both their matchmaking guilt tripping Nana’s set them up on a blind date. Sadie is helping her friend out by watching her kids and has no choice but to bring them on her blind date...well assumptions are made and Dante of course assumes their her kids and thinks the worst of her. The date gets cut short and they unexpectedly see each other a few more times and eventually the truth is revealed and they decide to go on another date where an even bigger truth is revealed. The book does end on a cliffhanger but based on how it ended I expect there will be some steamy scenes ahead and more truths revealed. • Draws You In Quickly....But Leaves You Hanging

This story line was full of lots of surprises!!!! We learn at the beginning of the story that Sadie feels she is in a “lull” in regards to her love live. A review of her past relationships and lack of current relationships has her feeling that she is stuck. She is exploring options on a dating app that is allowing her to “explore” relationship options. However, her over zelious grandmother has other plans for her relationship. Dante is an extremely successful business man who doesn’t have time for “relationships”. He has friends and he makes “brief” encounters with women, but doesn’t want anything with longevity. His grandmother thinks differently. The two grandmothers decide to hook them up for a date. Of-course when meddling grandmothers get involved, things become quite funny! Throw in life’s circumstances, and you actually feel some real life drama in the story. Continue the hiccups that life presents for Sadie and you find yourself laughing out loud. I wish I could tell you that there is instant chemistry between Dante and Sadie; and I wish I could tell you that you feel chemistry between Dante and Sadie. However, that would limit the climax of the story. Although I am not so patiently waiting for the sequel, I would definitely recommend this book. There are some highly funny parts and a good balance of “steam”. I will warn that this book has a variety of steamy scenes; so if variety isn’t your thing, you may want to read with caution. In the mean time, I will be not so patiently waiting to see the explorations of Dante and Sadie.

Sadie and Dante start their relationship through a blind date set up by their grandmas which sounds crazy enough; until Sadie agrees to watch her friends kids WHILE on the date causing Dante to believe they are hers. Throw in a few more misunderstandings, a racy online dating site, and some serious sexual tension? That is just the beginning of a chaotic, crazy start to their possible relationship. Great book! I loved it so far... hopefully book 2 isn’t far behind!
