    Liked the story. Liked Connors character a lot more then Charlottes. Wasn’t my favorite English/Scottish romance but it was ok.

    I absolutely loved this book. I only put it down because I had to work. LOL. Great story and writing. So sad I’m done with it. Ready to read another one of Kelsey’s books!

    What time period is this? Trains and electric lights in London but warriors, clan armies and broadswords in Scotland. Also the McLeod are from the west of Scotland, isle of Skye not on the North Sea area.

    I was excited to read the book, because the storyline sounded like a good read. I was very disappointed. It is obvious the author didn’t do any research on the time period. For example, the vernacular doesn’t match the time period. Laird’s are the head of their clan, but not the king of Scotland. Social settings are very formal. People didn’t address others in public by their first name. As a debutante on New Year’s Eve, she wouldn’t have been able to wear a dress with too much cleavage showing. Also, if she disappeared from the ball an extended time with a man, she would be ruined and he would be required to marry her. The Season in London started in spring, not at Christmas. There are just too many things wrong with the book. I don’t mind authors taking liberties, in fact books are better when they do, but this author knows nothing of the time period.
