WOW, that author has done it again and brought us another wonderful story. I just loved Hunter and Blossom’s story. I loved how they both no matter how much time they were apart they remained so much in love with each other. Their hearts were like waiting for that moment in time when they would be reunited. Hunter was living in darkness and you have to ask yourself if Blossom will get past the life that Hunter was living. Hunter had already justified what he was doing and wanted Blossom to understand. I have to say I could see Hunter’s reasoning. I tried to picture all the emotions Hunter was felling to find out he had little girl. To know the life that he was living and know that now he would want to be an example had to be hard. Things get pretty rocky and dangerous for Hunter, Blossom, and their small happy family. I love how these two will come together to do what ever it takes to keep the ones that they love safe. This was truly a great story and glad I got a chance to read the book.

Great characters and a good storyline will pull you in and keep you hooked. Made me actually stop and question what I would do in her position.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book Blossom is far removed from her past. Physically, she works as a barista at the Lazy Bean, but mentally she's still that young girl starving for more. She had that once with a young man who, though rough around the edges, would do anything for her...up until things got out of control and their secret romance was taken away. Saying it was for the best but, in reality, it was the absolute worst. Blossom spent years searching for Hunter to no avail, finally giving up on a life with him and trying to move on. Hunter never imagined, even in his wildest dreams, he'd run into Blossom, especially like this. He's hardened himself after his girl was taken from him. He's not the same man. Hunter is now a vigilante disposing of the most vile humans known to man. Gone is the carefree boy who lived to be with Blossom. Hunter would love nothing more than to be the man Blossom once knew. Blossom has moved on. She has a young daughter and, to Hunter, seems happy. He's dangerous. It's dangerous for her to be near him. Although he wishes things were different, it's time to leave the past where it belongs and continue what he's started. When Hunter finds out the real reason Blossom left, he's conflicted. Things become much more complicated than that. Blossom is in town doing research for a podcast she's developing about a possible serial killer. What she doesn't realize is that Hunter is in town also because he has some important business pertaining to the victim.
