This is book 1 in the Intimacy Series and is the beginning of Tallulah and Jarrod’s story. Very well written with wonderful characters and a great storyline that will keep you wanting more. She is running from a horrible incident that changed everything, especially herself. Jarrod is a sweetheart and an owner of a restaurant. A chance meeting leads to a friendship and slowly growing unexpected feelings. She isn’t ready for a relationship but he loves her and promises to wait and be there when she’s ready, she knows where to find him.

This book was intense and angsty but so sweet. The heroine is going through some things that are pretty damaging and she meets Jarrod through mutual friends and they start a friendship even though deep down Jarrod wants more. Jarrod knows something has happened to Tallulah so he decides to tread carefully and be her friend to try to get her to open up. I thought this was the start of something great and honestly cant wait to read more.

Damaged Intamacy is Book one in The Jntamacy series. We pass between perspectives of Tallulah- a college art student carrying a weight no one should be forced to carry, and Jarrod - a business owner that has been filling his life with work until he finds that missing part of his world. Tallulah enters Jarrod’s bar by chance and this changes both characters world. Tallulah feels she is damaged and unworthy of love, and Jarrod wants nothing more than who she is, cracks and all. We go back and forth on perspective, so be mindful of who’s side of the story you are reading. I felt that the story is well conceived, however there are some parts that could use a tad more editing. Nothing to harsh distracted from the flow, but a couple of spots gave pause. I do feel we could have a little more world building toward the end on the with plot twists. I felt a little left out of the story and there was a great missed opportunity there. I still loved the story, and I am anxious to move on to Book two! It’s a great start for the series. She leaves College and moves back to London because of it to try and put her life back in order. A secret so heartbreaking that she hasn’t even be able to tell her best friend Aurora or her Brother. How is she going to tell a man who loves her with all his being. She finds solace at a local restaurant called Thorpes where Jarrod is partial owner. Here is where she is able to resume her drawings. When she meets Jarrod they become friends. Even though he sends tingles down her spine and deep down she loves him she can’t let him love her. Even though Jarrod loves her unconditionally he is willing to do anything for her including making a promise she asked of him. Tallulah is afraid that if she tells this secret to Jarrod he will no longer love her. What are the two to do. Hanleigh Bradley is still a new author to me. This is her second book now that has without a doubt left me wanting more of her stories. She has a loving way of tearing at your heartstrings. Hanleigh has a way of writing that leaves you on the edge and wanting more. Her characters taunt you every step of the way you want to learn more about them. You need to know more of them. Damaged Intimacy was a definite cliffhanger and without a doubt I want more. I need to read more and know what is next for Tallulah and Jarrod if anything.
