  • Feed The Pig brought me here...

... and I have a hard time grasping the possible reality that no other story from this author will quite ever live up to Feed The Pig. Maybe that's my issue, I expected EVERY story to grip me the way that one did but unfortunately they did not. He set the bar extremely high with that one. Now, one thing I can say is his voice through out each story was very clear. I was able to picture exactly what he was writing. I was able to submerge myself into each one, each story ending quickly because I couldn't stop turning the page. I haven't read The Farm yet, and I'm excited to do so, but also scared for the tinge of letdown I'm feeling after this one. Although I must say, his last story did shake me to the core. The type of read I had to set my phone down for breaks, as twisted as it was I did... enjoy?... it. I'm not saying all other stories were terrible, just not all the type I would read more of. Nonetheless I enjoy his work and hope to read more.

Prepare for a pilgrimage into the darkest recesses of the human mind with Mr. Witherow as the macabre guide. This book will surprise you not only with the fresh, unholy abominations he depicts, but also how some of the more sinister endings nets feelings of closure and satisfaction. Additionally, all the stories though short, have an eerie parallel structure to them that plays with your mind into wondering if they all, or at least some happen on the same plane of existence. I heartily recommend this compilation to anyone looking for the youngest evidence of horror not being dead, just decomposed.
