Book Synopsis

New York Times bestselling author Kristen Proby continues to delight the senses with the latest novel in her delectable Fusion series.

As the take-charge wine bar manager of Seduction, Portland's hottest new restaurant, Katrina Meyers is the definition of no-nonsense, and she isn't afraid of anything. Well, almost anything: she hates to fly. When she's forced to travel on a death trap with wings, the turbulence from hell has her reaching for any safe haven—including the incredibly handsome guy sitting next to her.

Ryan "Mac" MacKenzie hasn't been able to get his sexy seatmate out of his head. The way she clung to him stirred something inside him he didn't think existed: tenderness. As the owner of a successful wine touring company, Mac thinks he's got a handle on what life can throw at him and he's not prepared for any surprises, especially in the feelings department. And when he brings a tour into Seduction, he sees the petite spitfire he just can't forget.

Mac is determined to discover what else they have in common besides fine wine and the inability to keep their hands off each other. But what will it take for two stubborn people to realize that what they have is so much more than a hot chemistry between the sheets and to admit to falling in love…?

Totally loved Kat's story. From start to finish, the chemistry, the slow burn, the fall and finish but so much more. Kristen totally delivered another awesome Fusion story.

I’ve been in love with the ladies of Seduction since the very beginning. Kristen Proby has created strong female characters who are not only competent and smart in business, but who also know exactly what it is they want in other aspects of their lives as well. Blush For Me is the latest in the Fusion series, and it’s Kat’s story. Here’s what I love about Kat. Not only is she all the things I said I love about Kristen’s female characters, but Kat also has a vulnerability that makes her believable and real. I want to be Kat’s friend! Oh, make no mistake, Kat is a capable and confident woman, but every strength has a corresponding weakness; one she cannot hide, even from to the stranger seated next to her in First Class. Enter, Mac. Oooh-la-la. What’s not to love about a caring, and did I mention gorgeous, man when he’s coming to the aid of the beautiful panicked woman in the next seat. Gotta love a guy who takes charge! But you gotta love him even more that he knows when to let the woman take the lead, and he’s just ready to step in when she needs him – even when she may not know she does. I was in love with Mac in Chapter One! Blush For Me is, of course, the romance between Mac and Kat, but it’s rich with back story, family drama, and even a little danger, that elevates it to something more. Oh, and yes, of course Kat’s Seduction partners (whom we’ve met before) have supporting roles. The ladies of Seduction are good for a few laughs and maybe even a few tears with some especially sweet and tender moments. Kristen Proby’s Fusion series just keeps getting better and better.

Blush for Me is the third book in Kristen Proby's Fusion series. When I'm in the mood for a fun and steamy romance, this series has really hit the spot. Ever since I met the girls at Fusion, I was excited for Kat's story. It didn't disappoint. Kat was just as fantastic as I thought she would be. Kat is one of those women who is perfectly content being single. When she goes away on a work trip, she decides she needs a little sexcation. Vacation sex without strings. She meets Mac who fits the bill perfectly. Mac isn't one for relationships so they have the perfect set up. When Kat comes home and finds out that Mac works and lives near her, she doesn't know what to think. Kat and Mac have fun together so they figure it's no harm in having some fun and sleeping together for a little while longer... but the more time they spend together the more they start to truly like one another. These two perpetually single people start to fall. And they don't know what to do about it. Mac and Kat together. Holy wow. This is by far the steamiest K Proby book I've read in a while. Their chemistry was explosive!!! I loved how much they had in common and how they treated one another. Mac is by far my favorite hero of this series so far. I loved how bossy and in control he was, but also how thoughtful and sweet he could be. They really made a great match. Even if they didn't know it at first. Towards the end of the story, there was a little more suspense/family drama added in, but it wasn't too over the top and didn't take away from the story so I didn't mind. I'm not sure if Riley or Mia's book is next, but I'm really hoping it's Mia. I don't care who it's with- I'm just dying for her story! If you're looking for a book that's sweet, sexy, lighthearted, and a whole lot of fun, pick up Blush for Me! I enjoyed this one lots!

I forgot how much I loved this series and I hate to admit that I forgot about this treasure of a series. I know I’m horrible … but once I dove into this one, the past two books came rushing back to me and it was insta-love all over again! And it just got me all excited to read Blush for Me. Blush for Me is the third book in the Fusion series and it’s Kat’s story! Well, Kat and Mac’s story. If you haven’t read the previous two in this series, stop reading this and do that … RIGHT NOW! They’re all standalones, but trust me, you’ll love reading Listen to Me and Close to You. Kristen Proby is one of those authors that’s always a 1-click buy for me and I was so happy to meet her when they came out to Hawai’i and hosted an author event. I’ll get back to the review since I’m getting off topic. 😉 In the beginning of the book, Kat is absolutely dreading flying for the first time to a wine conference in Napa. Being terrified to fly is one thing, but getting lucky and sitting next to a hot and charming man to her soothe her storms of worry is a completely different story. That fortunate man happened to be Mac! And that’s where it begins for the both of them. Mac was so sweet and endearing as he tried to calm Kat as much as possible. If only we were all ever so lucky to be on that flight, I’d have no complaints! Once Kat gets through the flight, sickness takes over her and she quickly exits the plane, ending our little swoon fest. Just like that. Despite her fear that entire flight there was definitely a connection between the two of them that leaves a lasting impression. Since Kat is supposed to be on a “sexcation” (yes, it’s exactly what you think it means), Mac would be just the person. And the odds seem to be working in their favor as their paths cross again at the conference. After a few glasses of wine, they agree to have a no strings for their entire stay and say their good-byes once the week is up. But lets be honest, like that’ll truly happen. I loved this book so much, as soon as I finished it, I wanted to read it all over again. I was so thankful for the extremely low angst, if there was too much, it definitely would have taken away from the story and their relationship. Proby flawlessly intertwines all of the characters in this series, while not taking away from the main characters. It’s hard not to love Mac and Kat. I’m a Washington native and have so much love for the Pacific Northwest, so I enjoyed all the places Proby mentioned. 10 points for Mac being quite the romantic type of guy, he is so attentive to Kat, even when she’s extremely independent. He loves to take care her. Kat is definitely a friend that EVERYONE needs, shoot I now aspire to be like her. She’s feisty, dependent, extremely loyal, A GENIUS, and has so much of her heart to give. Kat, I love you! You’re the best! You’ll definitely enjoy every moment of their story, it’s lighthearted and no petty drama! I love a book with zero petty drama. However, there’s a bit of suspense towards the end!

This is such a fantastic series! The girls at Seduction are everything you’d want in a group of friends. This book is a standalone, though it’s part of the Fusion Series (all standalones) and I recommend al of them! Blush For Me is light on the drama, which a plus for me. Though it’s not without it’s angstful moments, giving depth to Mac and Kat’s story. This books is all kinds of sexy and delicious! Kat is a spitfire. Her personality is big and loud, right down to her funky style. She’s full of humor and life, although it was nice to see her more humanized in this book, with her fear of flying. Nobody’s perfect, so Kat became that much more real for having flaws. Mac…let me say this, Kristen Proby knows how to write an alpha. I’m constantly, drooling, swooning, and burning for her heroes. So yeah, Mac is the epitome of alpha with his dominant and possessive personality, sprinkled with sweetness. I lve a man who figures out what he wants and goes after it with everything he’s got. He can uncork this bottle any time he wants… A “sexcation” is all they are after, so neither one is expecting the lasting feelings once they’ve departed from Nappa. Kat can’t get him out of her mind, no matter how hard she tries. Mac is in much the same condition, except he decides to act on it and shocks the beautiful Kat by showing up in Portland! These two are perfect for each other. Their story is fun, witty, full of it’s ups and downs, and lands on my favorite part, the happily ever after. Kristen Proby is a brilliant storyteller. She brings her characters to life and draws you into a story whether through drama or laughter. This book is another one for the re-read shelf!

So excited to share the third book in Kristen Proby’s Fusion Series, Blush for Me. This is book is a (very) hot, sexy romance that will sweep you off feet. Mac MacKenzie and Kat Meyers are a couple whose story will keep smiling and fanning yourself to the very last page. Kat is every bit her own woman. Strong, brilliant and sexy, it is impossible not believe that she won’t pop off the page just by shear will alone. I loved her heart, it was big and open, especially to those that she held most dear. But getting to know her through the eyes of this besotted man was just amazing –like opening a series of gifts, she constantly surprised him. Mac. MacKenzie. In a word, he is DIVINE. From the moment, we meet him, he is this gentle force that literally makes you swoon. He wasn’t interesting in changing Kat, but simply offered her a place to land, free of the world’s noise. He took care of her in ways that were so beautiful and yet so simple, it took my breath away. Kat and Mac together are glorious. I adored their banter, it was quick, funny and crazy-sexy. But their chemistry? That fire burns so white-hot. But deeper than that, Mac and Kat were two kindred souls who connected and complemented each other in ways that neither realized that they were craving. The heart of Blush for Me (and series) is this amazing quintet of women and their friendship, which is their North Star. While they may not be related by blood, make no mistake, they are sisters who share a deep and abiding love. They are there for each other through the joys, sorrows, hell and high water; always at the ready with a good vintage and a proper frozen dairy product. Come after one, you come after them all. Fair warning — you better be ready, because these women are armed with sharp minds and words — They will cut you to the quick. With each book I am convinced I can’t love them more, but I can and I do. I can’t wait to read the stories that Kristen weaves for Riley and Mia. Happy reading!!

Does what happens in Napa Valley stay in Napa Valley? Kat Myers sure hopes it does because her plan for a sexcation is of upmost importance for her business trip, especially if she has to get on a plane to do so. Mac Mackenzie is a conservative, bossy man who doesn’t do relationships, so a week of sex with a stunning woman is exactly how he wants to spend his nights in Napa, knowing that he can control her in the bedroom and banter with her outside of it because Kat is not a passive woman, even if she enjoys Mac giving her orders during sex. But one week doesn’t seem to be enough for them even if that was the superficial agreement they agreed on, so when Kat and Mac find themselves in “relationship territory,” the unexpected opportunity for more…to date…isn’t something they can say no to because letting go of the crazy chemistry they have is not something they can do. I seriously want to be Kat Myers when I grow up!! I love everything about her…she’s extremely independent and strongly opinionated; she owns her quirky and edgy style, showing off her colorful tattoos, and her beauty, intelligence, and friendly personality draw people to her, and as a bartender and co-owner of Seduction, all of her attributes set her customers at ease and allow her to use her knowledge to provide advice and a safe place for them to share their troubles. I’m absolutely loving Kristen Proby’s Fusion series; it has a great mix of steam, sass, and a bit of suspense that keeps readers intrigued. The relationships that the co-owners of Seduction have with each other is beautifully displayed in each book and that bond continues to grow the further into the series Proby takes her readers. Mia seems to be up next and it will be interesting to see if she changes her mind about the opportunity that is headed her way! 4 Poison Apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)
