    I have negotiated my entire Sales career. The techniques that Chris Voss has put together are pure gold!! I’ve read many books on Leadership, Accounatbility and Negotiation. This book is right at the top of the list! I’ve also taken Chris Voss’s “Master Class” on Next I am going to attend one of his “Black Swan” classes in the near future…AWESOME stuff!!

    The techniques in the this book helped me do the impossible. I was actually able to get an elderly person to stop using Internet Explorer! You might think I’m joking but it’s no laughing matter to those in tech support. After this review I plan on re reading it again because I’m sure I will learn even more stuff I missed out on the first time around.

    Absolutely loved this book. I had a pretty lucrative deal in the works that had gone cold, as my counterpart was suddenly unresponsive for about 6 weeks after receiving my proposal. I decided I’d try some “Email Magic” before giving up for good. Wouldn’t you know it, she replied within 2 hours and we are signing the deal next week. This book paid for itself (and then some) in a simple 7-worded email. Not to mention all of the other methods and strategies I will be able to implement in other negotiations yet to come. It is packed full of information, wisdom, strategy, and entertaining stories from a career in crisis negotiation. The real-life stories Chris Voss shares from his FBI negotiation experience are the most interesting part. It’s incredible how the strategies you’d use to get a hostage-taking bank robber to give themselves up are built upon the same foundation and rules of engagement you’d follow in any situation where your ultimate goal is to get your counterpart to do what you need them to in order to win. I’ve recommended this book to several coworkers and recommend to anyone interested in broadening your knowledge of the dynamics of negotiation, communication, and human psychology.
