This books highlights hikes the author enjoyed as part of the Centennial Challenge. As a way to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of Rocky Mountain National Park, park officials suggested the Centennial Challenge. The challenge is to hike 100 unique miles in the park. Since quite a few of the trails are out and back it meant that only half the total miles would often count. In order to attain this goal more easily we trained for a long 36 mile loop that we completed in July.
