Clive Cussler is master story teller. I have read all his books. They seem to get better as fine wine ages, his stories have a plot within a plot. I fell in love with him because of his characters, places and the integrity he installs in them. When I relate one of his plots, I say " I go to bed with Clive and I have wonderful dreams!,,, Thank You Clive Cussler.

No story line, no structure, infantile English. I gave up after two chapters. The worst book I have read.
Waste of time

As others have mentioned, this incessant need to be funny throughout the book (as a replacement for storyline) was irritating. I just could not ride my way to this book.

Set a scene, then run, chase, run, chase. Boring. Remind me not to get his books in the future. Not enough story detail, chase, chase, chase.

I have read everything MR. Cussler has written and I will have to say this is the only book I couldn't finish. Trying to be to funny and lack of story line. I can't believe this came from Clive Cussler.
