Well written and great read no matter your age. Could not stop reading it! Looking forward to reading next book.

Such a tremendous array of believable young characters and dynamics in an unbelievably hard situation. Plus a new culture and new physics that make enough sense to be from another very believable world.

Its really cool and interesting, I got hooked within the first 100 pages or so. Its a nice sci-fi story with high stakes and cool twists. Gwen is an interesting character and you get to follow her through her ingenuity and determination. Its really nice watching the story unfold.

The concept and writing are good, however, the idea of turning these kids into psychotic killers to qualify is bizarre. This is a supposedly higher human civilization. I have read this series previously and understand more is explained there but it can be deeply disturbing to read especially for younger people. This should not be considered normal or acceptable.

The beginning of a good tale, but a little low on “Space”

I’ve read the entire series twice now!! I’m in love with this series!! 10/10 recommend if you like adventure, science fiction and a love story!

This book was a real page turner. It would keep me guessing on some of the twists but I nailed a couple so I was proud of that feature also.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and the bond that Gwen has with her siblings. Her determination is admirable but her ability to think her way out of a problem is enviable. Sometimes the very things that we feel we cannot do, is the thing that forces us to prove ourselves worthy of ourselves. The surprises, the suspense, and the relatable characters make me anxious for next book in the series.
