This was SUCH a good book! If you like wishing for something but not getting it, this book has it all!

A funny story about a grouchy kitty who's birthday is today. Her dream gift is the world's greatest cat scratcher. But all she gets are a comic book, a ball of twine, a ball of string, tuffs of fur, mothballs, a paper towel tube, a mouse that ran away, and worst of all, an sweater with a matching hat and booties. But somebody stole all of Kitty's presents. The kitties investigate. It turns out that Puppy stole the presents. Then the kitties try to use Puppy as a piñata but the delicious cake make them stop. But Kitty goes crazy and destroys everything and drives her guests home. But Mommy Kitty calms Kitty down. But Puppy used all of Kitty's presents to make the world's greatest cat scratcher. So I guess it turned out that Kitty's birthday turned out okay.
