Such a wonderful read. I wish I had discovered these books years ago.

The book is what you expect from Cornwell--well done. But I expect major authors to have proofreaders. This book looks like it was created with an optical scanner and no one bothered to fix the errors. It gets rather tiring to keep seeing "die" where it should be "the" and "then" where it should be "they." Miscellaneous quotation marks and commas riddle the text. Cornwell should send Mr. Sharpe to hunt down the lazy editors.

This is my third Sharpe book. Excellent story with just enough history.
