I am a huge fan of Marie Force and have read everything she has written: my favorite is the Gansett Island series. Gansett Island Episodes is a genius idea, fans get to go back to their beloved island and visit with family and friends. The novella (120 pages) is packed with warm gripping stories of love, grief and happiness and will entertain the reader. The stories of the birth of the three island babies is wonderful and shows Victoria's love for her profession. Shannon's grief for his first love casts a shadow over their future. After being kicked out by Victoria his willingness to work with Kevin McCarthy to relove this issue for a future with Vic brought tears to my eyes. Congratulaltions to new parents - Tiffany and Blaine, Jenny and Alex and Syndny and Luke

Victoria, the island's Certified Nurse Midwife, wants the "fairytale". Although she's happy that her friends have found their HEA, she's somewhat envious of them. She thinks Shannon is her HEA, but there's something holding him back from making a commitment. Worried, Victoria turns to Seamus for advice on his cousin. What she finds out, is truly devastating. She goes to Shannon, not to corner him, but to hopefully get him to discuss his past with her so they can move forward in their relationship. Victoria's plan backfires and Shannon takes off on his motorcycle. Although Victoria's heart was in the right place, Shannon is upset that she went to Seamus to delve into his past--even though he admitted he would've never told her if it hadn't been for Seamus. Victoria tells Shannon she deserves more and breaks up with him. Can Shannon work through his past and be the man Victoria needs him to be? I've read EVERY Gansett novel and wondered how the novellas would "mesh" with the rest of the series. I am impressed with how well all the snippets throughout the novella intertwined with Victoria and Shannon's story. I do believe you need to read the Gansett series prior to reading this novella or you won't fully appreciate the snippets. It was fun to read updates on several of my favorite characters too! I can't wait for the next novella! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Is the school building going to be large enough for all these babies? Going to be some big birthday parties happening. What a great story. And Marie even threw in a romance to top it all off. You will love this visit to Gansett. See you next trip.

Love this episode concept from Marie Force. This was a very enjoyable read. Catch up on members of the Gansett Island community against the backdrop of Shannon and Victoria's romance. Her great characters make you feel as you are a part of their intimate group of friends. Loved it and highly recommend it.

This is Ms Force's first "Episode" book. It is a shorter story, with a complete story and little Vignettes. This book is about Victoria, nurse and Midwife with Dr. David; and Shannon who came with Shamus' mother from Ireland for a 2 week stay. He met Victoria on his first day and hasn't left Gansett or her since. He now works for his cousin at the ferry dock. We start with Victoria going to visit Shamus because Shannon sometimes seems miles away. Does he see this relationship the way she does? Of course there is a horrid event in the past, a confrontation, tears and breakup. Praises this is a smaller book for they don't wait days or weeks (or lots of pages) to clear this up. I am so in love with Dr. Kevin McCarthy, perfect addition to the Island. So while these two work on a little "hitch" in their relationship we are entertained to a baby birthing contest. These babies are all about their daddies. It is precious to see the bonding these men make with their little bundles of love. This Episode is the perfect appetizer while waiting for a full length book. I am thrilled to say I won the prize to write one of the first reviews on this new book/venture. Each of the 16 1/2 books in this series allows you to connect with all the people on the island. These Episodes will never lack for storylines about ALL of our favorites on Gansett Island. Go get it NOW!

  • Gansett Island Revisited!

A beautiful return to Gansett Island was as wonderful as I expected! Getting more insight into previously known characters & new adventures with lesser known town members, was happy, sad, & showed a new aspect into the people of this beautiful island. Victoria loved to take care of people & had an immediate connection with Shannon O'Grady. Their chemistry is so combustible, but also questionable, that Shannon knows she has to overcome the obstacles in their path. This book is heartwarming & pulls on your heartstrings. I truly loved this book reuniting the old series to the new one. I received the ARC to give an honest review. I purchased the book, as well, to add to my library. I have loved to reread this series many times. Excellent writing & 5 Stars+++!!!!!! Waiting for Episode2!

I love the new concept of episodes that allow us to dip more deeply into the lives of some of the minor characters on Gansett, giving them depth and juicy story lines. Since Victoria has made quick appearances in many books it was great to get to know her. And while we learn about Shannon's circumstances second hand, I feel like there is still room to get to know him better. Probably my favorite part though is how fully formed the personalities are of the island residents that pop up in this book. The pages devoted to the birthing parents are like visiting good friends. They've been so fully developed in previous books that their personalities shine through in this book. Honestly, I'd read bathroom graffiti if I knew Marie wrote it but this book excites me for more Episodes and more quick visits with my old pals on Gansett Island. The only drawback, shorter book, fewer pages, shorter escape to a happy place.

As usual Marie Force delivers. I enjoyed the episode version. According to her promise, Marie provided a complete storyline as well as follow-up for other characters (the baby boom). This was the perfect book for my plane trip. I look forward to the next episode and novel. I did receive an advance reader copy of this book. Thank you.
